Conservation + Residence London Completed

This is a 4 storey Grade A listed property converted to a high-end residence for a private client in London. The design development involved rigorous consultation with English Heritage to maintain the characteristics of the period property.

The design intent was to connect the main building with the mews house which is separated with a central court. The approach needed to be something that wouldn’t impose itself upon the period property and that would merge with the palette of materials around.

This thought derived and further explored the idea of a glass link that was minimally designed and carefully tucked in the corner with minimal junctions with the period brickwork.
