Panchayat Market is a regeneration project of an existing market with a site area of approximately 13,000sqm. This proposal addresses key concerns of up gradation of existing shops, public facilities such as toilets, overall hygiene, safety, accessibility, public plaza, site infrastructure and security measures along with emphasis on visual prominence. The proposal consists of G+1 commercial market optimizing the Vapi-Silvassa frontage and a Vegetable market at the rear of the commercial market. The proposal consist of 358 shops of varying modules including 44 vegetable plinths with storage facility, commercial footprint area of around 375 sqm, a public plaza, parking facilities, continuous internal access road, storage shops in basement for shop owners, shaded continuous colonnade for comfort shopping, public amenities like toilets, drinking water facilities etc. Redevelopment would also take into account of up- gradation of shops and site infrastructure including providing public amenities. It will create a coherent and consistent shopping frontage and develop a consistent architectural typology.
